little 100, as we call it will camp with us from now on. It is just right.
I purchased this due to its size and compatibility with all the things. I have multiple power packs that I charge directly with USB from this panel. I also have a number of solar generators from different company's, all plug and play with this panel. I also have 3 other portable panels rated at 100W. It's simple to add panel to my current array and pull 400W. You never get 100 out of any of these but I live in AZ, so I get pretty close. This one performs better then some of my older bigger panels. The weight seems a bit heavy but that's only because it's so tiny when it is folded. My other panels weight about the same but it seems different because it is so compact. My only complaint is the cover for the USB ports doesn't stay sealed. Not a big deal for what I'm getting with this thing.
I bought this solar panel to recharge a portable power station while camping off grid.I did a side by side comparison with another 100w panel. On a modest winter day my other panel was able to output 43 watts. As you can see from my photo this one put out up to 50 watts. While that isn't a great number, winter conditions aren't ideal. I do like the 7w efficiency bonus of this panel in comparison.USB C output was able to fast charge 2.0 my Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite rapidly. The included bag is nice. The panel itself feels well made. It has a nice print on it. That makes me feel the company has worked hard to make a well designed product. It just shows. This panel is able to compact down to a very reasonable size and weight. I wouldn't hesitate to take this solar panel backpacking. It compacts smaller than my comparison panel. When folded and bagged it feels capable of being packed without worry.Only a few connections come with this solar panel. Something to be aware of. However, it does come with an appreciable length of power output wire. My other panel has a short cord. This panel was able to move my battery into the shade as I prefer. The water tight seal on the output ports didn't work well for me. But I can't recall a device they ever have felt properly designed and executed on.The velcro latch on the panel close works well. The zipper on the bag works very well. This solar panel feels surprisingly easy to use and operate.I plan on using this panel quite a bit. So I will update my review to reflect its service life. That said, this solar panel feels super solid and well made. I am doubting any reliability issues.Overall, I'd recommend this portable solar panel. It is compact, lightweight, stylish, and efficient. It feels durable and is very portable. Function is great. The panel offers a good cost to value ratio. I would purchase this item again without any hesitation or regrets. This portable solar panel would also make an excellent gift for anyone who enjoys camping, RV/Van life, going green, self sufficiency off grid, keeping phones charged at the beach, etc.
I like how small this solar panel can be folded down. It’s the size of a lunch box once collapsed. My other 100w solar panel is two giant sheets, which is quite bulky in comparison. This set have 10 separate panels so it can be folded down much more. The solar panel is easy to setup. It includes charging cable that can charge various adapters. I can plug it directly in my portable power station and it charges it at max rate. It was able to fully charge my 500w power station in one day.I use my power station to anchor the solar panel so it can face the direction of the sun better. It also help provide some shade for my power station since it gets hot when charging. The solar panel also have USB port so you can charge via USB too. But I found the direct solar power cable to charge the fastest. The panels seems pretty durable. It’s got a hard shell exterior and is bent resistant. So far I’m happy with it. At this size, I can just leave it in my SUV so I can charge stuff when I need it. Most of my stuff are USB devices so this is pretty convenient to have on emergencies. Overall a good value especially at this compact size.
As a solar energy enthusiast, I can say that the solar panel is great.I love that the panel is foldable, lightweight, and durable, and also comes with universal connectors that makes it compatible with most portable power stations. (Super handy!) I got this solar panel for camping.Upon opening it up, I noticed how durable it felt and great packaging!I sat it out in the sun all day to let it charge fully up so I could test it out before I took the solar panel camping with me. And It charged and worked GREAT. It helps that I have that California sun, so no issues getting it charged up quickly! The solar panel charged my 300 watts portable power bank with no issues at all, and it still had jucie left to charge more! It is a great solar panel for camping to charge small things! Power, durability, looks, and portability are all excellent. Casing material and the panel is pretty sturdy. I love how compact it folds up, too! If you are looking for a solar panel that meets your budget, durability, and compact, this is the one for you! Takes up hardly any room! Highly recommend a great deal for the price and its well made!!
